FAQ

How do I place an order?

  • 1) Go to "Order" page
  • 2) Upload your files and fill in the form.
  • 3) Pay. You can order the mastering through the shopping cart you create and check out via Paypal with a credit card or your Paypal account.
  • 4) Receive your mastering. Mastering will only start after receiving payment and properly uploaded file(s) (see "How do I prepare my track to be mastered?" ) When mastering is finished you will receive an email that your files are ready.
  • 5) Download your file(s) from the download link you will receive in the email.

 

Can I get a mastering sample?

Yes, we offer a free 60 second mastering sample of your track. If you like it, you can proceed with the normal order process. If it is not quite right, you can contact us and we will work with you to find a solution to achieve your ideal finished product.

What if I don't like the finished mastering?

If you are not happy with the result of the mastering we will make revisions to meet your requirements. The first revision will be done free of charge. Revision request will need to be submitted to contact@sultanamastering.com no later than 7 days after the finished track was available in the download folder.

How long does it take?

Delay time between completed payment and delivery of the finished track is 3-4 days for the �Classic Mastering� option. Express service is available with a maximum delay time of 24 hrs.

How safe are my files and payment?

All files will be transfered using WETRANSFER, a secure and profesional file transfer system. The tracks are viewed only by our sound engineer. All Payments are made through PAYPAL.

How do I prepare my track to be mastered?

Preparation for "Classic Mastering" or "Express Mastering":
In order to ensure the best possible result from our online mastering service we ask you to send only files with .wav or .aiff extensions. For the same reason the mp3 files will not be accepted.

Do not limit or over compress your tracks or push them to 0db, we require your recordings to be a maximum of -3db and no lower than -6db.

Please provide your audio at the original settings from your recording session or software DAW e.g. if you have recorded at 16 bit/ 44.1khz you should provide files at this setting.

We recommend you use the following settings for the best results:
File Type: WAV / AIF
Bit Rate: 24 Bit
Sample Rate: 44.1 / 48 kHz

Peaks: Please make sure that the peak of the master track of you mix is between -3 dBFS and -6 dBFS, in order to let us enough room and add the right quantity of volume.

Volume: If the master track exceeds the peak, please don't turn down the master volume, but the volume of the single tracks in the mix. Clips: Be sure that the tracks of the mix don't clip. In that case, please reduce the volume of the tracks.

File name: If you send us more than one file, please add them to a .zip file and remember to insert the artist name and the song name in the name of the file (eg. artistname_songname.wav)

Additional information: If you have any special request or references to other songs to improve the online mastering result, please list them in a note and add it to the zip file.

Preparation for Online Stem Mastering:

Files extension: In order to ensure the best possible result from our online stem mastering service we ask you to send only files with .wav or .aiff extensions. For the same reason the mp3 files will not be accepted.

Files quality: The files quality of the single tracks should be, 24 bit, 44.1 Khz. Tracks: Please send us a separate track for vocals, kick, snare, bass, other drums and other instruments.

Tracks alignment: Please, be sure that all the tracks start from the same point.

Clips: Be sure that the tracks of the mix don't clip. In that case, please reduce the volume of the tracks.

Folder name and bpm: Please put al the files of the song into a zip folder. Label the folder with the name of the artist, the name of song and the bpm (eg. artistname_songname_bpm.zip).

Additional information: If you any special request or references to other songs to improve the online stem mastering result, please list them in a note and add it to the zip file.
